Four Characters, as Diecut Silhouette on Limited Edition Wine Packaging Labels
Voice - d'Arenberg, The Old Bloke & The Three Young Blondes
" In 2015, d’Arenberg released the two most premium wines of its 104 year history, to be sold exclusively at its cellar door. To honour this limited edition release, a truly unforgettable packaging solution was required. One of these two wines; ‘The Old Bloke & The Three Young Blondes’ is so named for the old Shiraz vine and three ‘young’ white varietals from which the wine was made.
Each of the titular characters is represented as a diecut silhouette on an individual label. Much like the wine itself, the four personalities are ‘blended’ together by being overlayed one on top of the other—each creating a window to the next and achieving an effect of tactility and depth.
The finished package is presented in a paper wrap (the houndstooth pattern a nod to the Old Bloke’s flat-cap) and a unique letterpress label featuring the story behind the wine and d’Arenberg’s iconic red stripe."
