News: A Collection of Loyalty and Wedding Brand Royalty
Be it a sodastream of a emotions and tears, if you either love it or you hate it but you still need to spread the joy or if you are a saucy little sausage who can't get enough it, then we say what the heck, enjoy this list of exceedingly good round-up of brand loyalty and royalty wedding love.
HATS OFF TO A SODASTREAM OF EMOTIONS
SodaStream is using the Royal Wedding as an occasion to highlight the fight against single-use plastic, as it prepares to auction off a number limited edition bottles for charity. Each bottle is donned with a hat, as per British wedding tradition, with the money raised per bottle being donated to a plastic-free charity.
MARKS AND SPENCERS OR MARKLE AND SPARKLE?
Riffing off the now famous chicken proposal, the M&S roast chicken sandwich has undergone a "royal makeover" in homage to the love birds. The British retailer is also offering free meal deals to members of the public who have been specially invited to the wedding, following some confusion over whether guests will be offered refreshments by the royals.
M&S marketing director for food & hospitality said Sharry Cramond, “As a quintessentially British brand we had to do something special to mark the royal wedding and what better way to welcome Meghan to the family than to ‘marry’ both our names together for the weekend," said Sharry Cramond, M&S marketing director for food & hospitality.
"As a retailer we’ve celebrated 34 royal weddings over our 134-year history, but this is the boldest idea we’ve delivered yet! We wanted to spark a smile from Harry and Meghan on their big day and capture the excitement and celebratory mood of the nation on receiving a real-life Hollywood princess into our royal family!”
WHAT THE HECK, CHEEKY LITTLE SAUSAGE
Low-fat sausage company Heck have merged Meghan and Harry together in a porky format. With classic American mustard to represent our new princess and ginger to represent our flame-haired prince, it sounds pretty tasty. Sounds like one for a barbecue on the day, but we can’t imagine the royals will be consuming any processed meats on the day.
MR KIPLING EXCEEDINGLY ROYAL WEDDING PIES
Available from 26th April – 19th May, Mr Kipling Bridal Fancies, Princely Pies and Wedding Whirls provide a Royal Wedding twist on some of the brand’s most favoured cakes. The core range in Asda will also see new packaging for the same duration.

With quintessentially British packaging, the products will stand out on shelf and are a timely extension to our Mr Kipling range which we know our consumers will love.”
Sally Fletcher, Buying Manager – BI Cake, at Asda, comments: “We are delighted to be exclusively stocking this limited edition range from Mr Kipling in the build up to the Royal Wedding. We know our shoppers will be on the lookout for special products they can enjoy at this time and it will be a great opportunity for us to drive sales in this category.”
