Hofmeister is now brewed in the heart of Bavaria and is made according to the Reinheitsgebot German beer purity law, using only three ingredients: mineral water, locally grown barley, and Hallertau Hops. This classic much loved brand was re-launched and re-imagined in 2018 by Simon Pendry.
Simon Pendry leveraged and revitalized Hofmeister’s sleeping brand equities for this dramatic redesign and brand re-launch. Vibrant yellow, distinctive Bavarian typography, and a fresh new look for the famous bear make the brand contemporary and relevant again, but still recognisable to previous consumers. The old advertising strapline even made a comeback in a new guise for social media this time, reflecting the brands bold new tone of voice #followthebear!
